Airtable

← All terms · No-code / low-code platforms

A cloud collaboration service that combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the complexity and power of a relational database.

What it is

Airtable allows users to link records across tables, store rich field types (attachments, barcodes, long text), and build customized views (Galleries, Gantt charts, Forms). It serves as the foundational database for thousands of no-code operations, featuring built-in automations and scriptable interfaces.

When you would use it

You use Airtable when a standard spreadsheet isn't powerful enough to handle relational data, but a traditional SQL database requires too much engineering overhead.

Common operations

  • Serving as the backend database for a Glide or Webflow application.
  • Managing a complex, relational content calendar for a marketing team.
