Plans & Free Trial
Orbit has a free local layer, a time-limited full-Pro trial, and subscription-backed features.
Local Orbit operations and bring-your-own-key usage are not gated by Sivants billing. You can keep using local project workflows, your Vault, your own provider keys, and other free/local operations without drawing down Sivants Credits. Features backed by Sivants infrastructure or Sivants-covered AI spend follow the current plan limits.
The free trial
Section titled “The free trial”New installs get a 14-day full-Pro trial. During the trial, Orbit bypasses the free-tier limits and shows welcome copy plus a persistent countdown banner in the sidebar footer.
When the trial expires, Orbit enforces the current plan limits and explains in the UI which subscription-backed features are unavailable. The subscription-backed surfaces called out in the product registry include Apollo’s Sivants-covered assistant path, mobile/remote access served through the Cloudflare Tunnel or equivalent, multi-node remote execution, and Sivants-billed AI spend covered by the subscription cap. Remote/tunnel access is therefore part of the gated Pro behavior after the trial and is surfaced to the user when the active plan does not include it.
Sivants Credits
Section titled “Sivants Credits”Credits are a prepaid balance for AI features that run through Sivants — image and video generation and premium models. They are purchased in bundles and never expire: an unused balance rolls forward indefinitely. The Credits drawer in the sidebar shows your balance, a runway estimate, and a transaction ledger.
Per-message cost is shown before you send, so there are no surprises, and the display is hidden entirely when you are using your own key.
Bring your own key (BYOK)
Section titled “Bring your own key (BYOK)”If you plug your own provider keys into the Vault — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, fal.ai, Recraft, and others — that provider’s usage bypasses Sivants Credits completely. You can mix and match: bring your own Anthropic key for heavy Claude use, and lean on Credits for the occasional image generation where setting up a separate account isn’t worth it.
