Dogfooding
Using your own product inside the company before releasing it to customers, so the team experiences the same product issues users would see.
What it is
Dogfooding means the people building a product also rely on it for real work. That exposes missing features, confusing steps, and reliability problems early, before outside users depend on the product.
When you would use it
You use dogfooding when you want honest feedback from the people closest to the product and you can safely use it internally first.
