Flash
Orbit's lightweight Gemini model path for background work such as prompt reviews, drift checks, auto-titles, handoff summaries, and completion validation.
What it is
Flash is the lightweight Gemini model Orbit uses internally for background tasks. It is not a user-facing chat surface like Apollo or Orbit Chat; instead, it supports workflow automation such as prompt review, post-completion validation, drift detection, auto-title generation, and handoff summaries. New developers should treat Flash as an internal helper model rather than a place where users directly hold conversations.
When you would use it
You normally do not invoke Flash directly. You see its results as review cards, validation badges, generated titles, or background summaries inside Orbit.
Common operations
- Running automatic prompt reviews before approval
- Validating whether a completed diff matches the prompt goal
- Producing small background summaries and labels
