Global Context

Context files stored in `~/.orbit/global/` that apply to all Orbit usage, not specific projects. User files override installer defaults completely (no merging).

What it is

Settings → Global Context provides direct in-app editing. Files have badges showing default or custom status. Default files have View (read-only) and Customize (creates user copy) actions; custom overrides have Edit and Reset to Default; user-created files (no installer default) get Edit and Delete. Edits take effect on the next AI request without restart.

When you would use it

You manage Global Context when patterns are universal across your work — coding style preferences, AI behavior rules, your personal conventions.
