Also called Google DeepMind, Google Cloud AI

The artificial intelligence research division of Google, responsible for developing the Gemini family of multimodal models, open-weight Gemma models, and video generation models like Veo.

What it is

Google's AI efforts (heavily unified under Google DeepMind) produce frontier models highly integrated into the Google Cloud ecosystem. Their Gemini models natively process text, code, audio, and video simultaneously, making them uniquely suited for complex multimodal orchestration workflows.

When you would use it

You use Google AI models when building applications that require very large context windows, deep integration with Google Cloud, or native multimodal reasoning across audio and video.

Common operations

  • Processing combined video and text prompts via the Gemini API.
  • Deploying Gemini Code Assist or Gemini CLI in development environments.
