Tunnel
Orbit's remote-access path for reaching a machine through its assigned `orbit.sivants.com` subdomain and relay infrastructure.
What it is
Tunnel is the managed remote access layer that gives each Orbit node its own `orbit.sivants.com` URL. In the multi-node architecture, each machine provisions a stable tunnel URL and maintains a relay connection so prompts, status, and MCP calls can be routed to the right machine. The tunnel is infrastructure, not an AI model or prompt queue, and it should not be described as storing project code.
When you would use it
You rely on the tunnel whenever a remote machine, mobile client, or account-scoped MCP URL needs to reach a local Orbit node.
Common operations
- Connecting to a node from another machine
- Routing account-scoped MCP calls to a specific Orbit install
- Supporting mobile and remote access to Orbit state
