What is Haiku?
The fastest, most compact model in the Claude family, designed for near-instant execution of high-volume, low-latency tasks.
Haiku is Anthropic's entry-level model tier. It sacrifices deep, complex reasoning in exchange for extreme speed and cost efficiency. It excels at rapid data extraction, basic log analysis, and acting as a fast triage agent before passing complex tasks to heavier models.
